Mr. Paca Given Support To Help Lower Cholesterol Through MEDLIFE

For many people, the challenge of managing cholesterol levels is a daily struggle, especially when you don’t have the time or resources to address it. High cholesterol can lead to serious health problems, such as heart disease, stroke, and high blood pressure. This is the exact challenge faced by Mr. Wilson Paca, a 34-year-old patient from the Paquibug San Gerardo community in Guano canton, Ecuador, who took control of his health with the help of the MEDLIFE patient follow-up program and a new lifestyle that included learning how to lower cholesterol naturally.

A Wake-Up Call: The Importance of Lowering Cholesterol

Mr. Paca’s journey began on May 2, 2025, when he visited the Lizarzaburu health subcenter with our patient follow-up staff for a medical appointment. He had been struggling with high cholesterol and elevated triglycerides. After undergoing a series of tests, his doctor informed him that his cholesterol was dangerously high, and a drastic lifestyle change was necessary. The doctor immediately recommended a plan that focused on lowering cholesterol through healthier eating habits and physical activity.

As part of the patient support program provided by the local health center, Mr. Paca was given personalized guidance on how to lower cholesterol naturally. Instead of relying solely on medications, the doctor emphasized dietary changes and exercise as the first line of defense.

Making the Right Dietary Choices

One of the key recommendations for Mr. Paca was to avoid sugars and carbohydrates, as these can contribute to higher cholesterol levels. Instead, he was advised to consume more vegetables, fruits, and green leafy vegetables, which can help lower cholesterol by promoting better digestion and supporting heart health. These simple dietary changes helped Mr. Paca start his journey toward healthier living.

Incorporating Physical Activity to Support Health

In addition to dietary changes, Mr. Paca was encouraged to increase his physical activity. Regular exercise plays an important role in lowering cholesterol levels, improving circulation, and supporting overall cardiovascular health. As someone who worked in the field daily, Mr. Paca had already been quite active, but the doctor suggested adding more structured exercise to help further reduce his cholesterol.

Follow-Up Care and Improvements in Health

After three months of following his new health regimen, Mr. Paca returned to the Lizarzaburu health subcenter on August 29, 2025, for a follow-up visit. His doctor was pleased to report that his cholesterol levels had greatly improved. He was also given an intravenous infusion to help with dehydration caused by his physically demanding work. Mr. Paca was thankful for the support he received and the valuable health information he had learned. His success story is a great example of how small changes can have a big impact on one’s health.

The Power of Patient Support Programs

The MEDLIFE patient follow-up program played a critical role in Mr. Paca’s success. This program provided him with the resources, knowledge, and ongoing guidance he needed to take control of his health and lower his cholesterol naturally. With the proper education and support, anyone can make lasting changes to improve their health and well-being. This is why we do what we do.
